The Kansas Education Foundation Association (KEFA) unites education foundation leaders across Kansas around a shared belief: together, we can create more opportunities for students than any of us can alone.

KEFA grew from a grassroots effort among local foundation leaders who saw the promise of collaboration. In July 2026, that shared vision took shape at an organizational meeting in Wichita, where founding directors established the association’s leadership and governance structure.

Today, we connect local education foundations with the relationships, knowledge, and resources they need to strengthen public schools and build lasting community support for students and educators.

KEFA welcomes education foundations of all sizes and stages of development—from established organizations with professional staff to volunteer-led foundations and communities exploring how to start a foundation of their own.
